ALASKA WILDLIFE COUNTS
One
of the things we did on our travels through parts of Canada and Alaska was
to keep pretty accurate counts of the more interesting wildlife that we
encountered. We started these counts when we entered British Columbia and
continued through the
Yukon,
the Northwest Territories and Alaska. We stopped the counts when we exited
British Columbia into Washington on our way back toward home. One major
wildlife viewing disappointment was our failure to see even one wolf. There
are lots of wolves in those parts of Canada and Alaska, but we were never
lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
